HunterNet Career Connections are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Sheetmetal Apprentices, with our host in Barnsley.

The successful applicants will complete a Certificate III Engineering -Fabrication Trade over 4 years and kickstart a lifelong career with a reputable company, a worldwide leader in Fabrication and expert in their field.

As an Apprentice your main duties will include:

  • General fabrication and welding
  • Workshop based for the first few weeks and then predominately onsite
  • Measuring, cutting, and working with aluminum, stainless steel and galvanized materials
  • Machine operating
  • Grinding, cleaning, and general preparation of surfaces
  • General repairs and maintenance of products
  • Following WHS policies and procedures
  • Attend RTO and maintain a high standard of work

Essential Criteria:

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Reliable employee with great communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • High mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Proactive and safety conscious person who can maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Willingness and ability to complete safety documents on a daily basis
  • Behave in a courteous and professional way at all times
  • Drivers Licence and reliable transport
