How do I list a work experience opportunity? 
After registering as an employer, you can list your opportunities through your dashboard. Simply fill in the details of the placement and submit.

Can I select students directly?
Yes, you can review student profiles and directly invite students to apply for your opportunities.

What support does Trainee Connect offer to employers?
We provide resources on best practices for mentoring, guidelines for creating effective placements, and support for any queries you may have.

Do I need to have a WWCC?
Check your local state regulations, for NSW click on this link for information and to apply.

Is my information kept confidential?
Yes, all information is kept confidential and inline with our policy.

Are the job ads screened for legitimacy?
Yes all job ads are internally verified by our team before they go live.

Do I have to pay the trainee for work experience? 
No, Work Experience arranged through their School is unpaid

Are the trainees covered for Workers Compensation Insurance when doing work experience?
Yes, All students are fully insured through the school (so long as you complete the documentation with their careers advisor). The NSW Certificate of Currency can be viewed here.

How do I know if I’m eligible to offer work experience.
Generally all trades are accepted however its best to check out the info on this link first.

I’d like my supervisor to know how to train apprentices. Is there any support available?
Yes thanks to the NSW Government. We encourage all employers to take advantage of the Free training workshops. Click here.

How do I sign up for Trainee Connect?
Simply click on the Sign Up button on our homepage, fill in the required details, and create your student profile.

What kind of opportunities can I find on Trainee Connect?
We offer a range of work experience placements across trades, services, and professional sectors. These vary from short-term internships to longer apprenticeships.

Is there a cost involved for students?
Trainee Connect is free for students. We believe in providing accessible opportunities to all.

Can I apply for multiple opportunities?
Yes, you are encouraged to explore and apply for as many opportunities as you find suitable.

I’ve already left school, can I create an account and apply for some job placements?
Yes, Trainee Connect will help anyone at any age find a new career choice.

My Parents want me to finish my HSC, but I really want to do a trade. What are my choices?
Consider a School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship. You do one day of study (usually at TAFE), one day at your employer and the other 3 at work. Find out more here
